Ken, How is South Shore harbor shaping up these days? Clubhouse yet? Security adequate?

Thanks for a bit of info, used to have a boat there way before The Storm -- in another millennium to boot. (Jeesh! Must get some more geritol soon before the memory goes...)

OK all you technophiles, how do you get those Google earth shots onto attachments here?
Stu, Arrange the image to what you want then just go to the "File" Menu then "Save" then "Save Image". It will save as a .jpg and then you can attach them to your thread entry.

The easiest way is on a smart phone. Use your map program to find your marina, save image to your phone. Use the sailboatowners app from the app store (iPhone) and upload the image. Takes about a minute.

On a PC, it is a longer process

If you are not using the sailboatowners app, you should be. Great way to use this web site, anywhere.

If you liked that, you'll love this.

Plays best at Youtube, full screen.

My cell phone is one of the original rotary dial models!:eek::eek:
Lol, my kids were quite confused the first time they say the grandparents phone - push button type so more modern then a rotary. "grandma, how do I play games on your phone?"

Home sweet home - Etobicoke Yacht Club, Lake Ontario

We keep our boat on a trailer and launch her from EYC's ramp, both in the drysail area just off the right-hand edge of the picture.

EYC, together with the Mimico Cruising Club and the excellent Humber College Sailing School, occupy the western arm of the man-made peninsula of Humber Bay Park west. This sheltered bay leads directly onto Lake Ontario, and downtown Toronto, and the awesome Toronto Islands (below) are an hour's sail east of EYC.

Season has started! Can you tell I'm anxious to get out there? :D

Stu....you funny. We had one rotary phone in the kitchen.......thought we were living large when we got an extra long cord........which would last about 6 months before stretch and tangle did them in. Looking out at Marina Del Ray (2 day layover) looks nice. Talked to some of the live- a- boards (satellite dish a dead give away). Some guy installing a cabin on a Mac 36. NOT eating at Killer Shrimp again........damn near killed me.

I sail on the headpond for the Mactaquac Dam outside of Fredericton N.B. (boat goes in next weekend:D). It is very deep -up to 160 feet- with no problem getting 30 feet from shore almost anywhere. If the pic uploads I moor in the cove right behind me and live just out of pic to the left.

Everett Marina in Port Gardner - part of Puget Sound
Day trips mostly but unlimited cruising. Someday I'd like to cruise the inside passage to Alaska.
Yes we love sailing here, but it's seasonal due primarily due to excessive rain. That's what makes it green.
