Please, do not take my title as anything less than supportive of my friend. "He" actually works supporting a our service men. As part of his work, that is to say, his job and not him personally, recieved a "gift" Compac 16 sailboat.

As far as we can tell (he, others, and I) it is "almost" complete. It has a hull, mast, sails, standing, and running rigging. It seems to have almost everything --- EXCEPT --- a tabernacle.

So, if you know of a Compac 16 that you can access for a moment and with a ruler showing for scale, can you take some digital pictures and forward them by private message (or post)? We can then use that data to buy or fabricate an appropriate item.

Or, if you know of a junked Compac 16 that you can get the tabernacle from. please let me know.

I already checked the local Air Force and Army boat yards and there was nothing there to rip off -- er I meant to say -- "borrow."

Why not call Com-Pac? They certainly exist and they are fairly easy to deal with and you'll probably get the right part the first time around. The piece you're looking for is more than likely from Dwyer Mast in Connecticut. Com-Pac's pricing is no worse than anyone else's and I would goess they would appreciate the business in these tight times.

If I were a girl, I'd say I'd be drinking a Red-Pop, or 7-Up, or even a Pepsi right now, rahter than coffee. You know, like SODA -- sooo duh, I feel that I did not go there to compac FIRST.

Well Dang me but I will and thanks for the number to boot!
