Hey folks, I'm wondering what kind of water (drinking) tanks the O'Day 23 came with. My 1976 looks like the main tank, starboard aft, might have been a flexible bladder type tank? Then there's a forward tank holder, under port V berth that looks like it would take a 3 or 4 gal. plastic jerry jug. What say you out there? Thanks!

My 1986 O'Day 222 came with a five gallon water tank under the V berth area. It has an inch an a half cover for filling the tank on one side and a smaller screw top for the hose going to the galley pump faucet. There's a tube with a flange on one end that fits into this smaller outlet on top of the tank which allows water to be pumped out of this tank from the bottom of the tank. The company that made this tank went out of business years ago.
I very seldom use my Fynspray galley pump faucet on my boat now. I used to use it a lot but it got to be too much of a hassle to refill the water tank. Now, I just wash my hands with this faucet.
I carry some 1 gallon water jugs for water and use it for coffee or washing dishes. I keep the five gallon tank filled and I no longer need to fill it so often.
You could probably buy a larger tank that would fit where you want to place it and set it up similar to this one.

It certainly looks like there was an aft tank on my 23 as there is a deck plate labeled "water" and an inch plus pipe just hanging below that looks like it would go to a flex bladder tank, or hard tank? This is on the starboard aft quarter, or what would be the aft end of the starboard berth. This water tank would then be for the slide out galley sink. Anybody have a 23 with this arrangement?
