Repairing these hairline cracks are way down on my to do list, but I want to make sure I am protecting them the best way I can until I can get to them. Simple cleaning and wax work, or anyone else have any words of wisdom here

a friend of mine has good success with Captain Tolley's crack sealer. It does not hide the crack but I think does seal it if you have any concerns about moisture being a problem in the future.
here is the website,

good luck, Bob

Re: What is your band aid for spider web cracks in fiberglas

Most spider cracks I have seen over the years are mostly in curvatures or start where thru bolted/screwed, etc.... Most boats have white gel coat and it is very hard to match color.

most spider cracks are cosmetic only but if repairing, you can dremel out and fill in. If you plan to paint the repaired area, you can blend it in. What I do is look for corners/right angles, sharp curvatures, etc... Then I mask off and applied paint/gel coat. It is in the angles where the two different colors meet and most often you will never notice it.

Spider cracks can also be indicators of voids in the deck laminate. I don't fix the cracks, I fix the voids - drill and inject epoxy. A clean deck doesn't show spider cracks.

Ok, my first boat, so I will get experienced sailor to look at them. I thought boat was clean. I have scrubbed it up and down with brushes twice now.

A good surveyor or laminates tech can assess the situation with a sounding hammer.
