This past weekend i had a Holy *&^% moment that i wanted to share so everyone else is mindful.
It would seam obvious, and i told myself at least a dozen time to be careful about this but i did it this past weekend and just got lucky. While i was working on the mast electrical wires down through the compression block i had noticed there was a continuity issue with one of the runs. So i opened up the power panel and began to trace wires, i placed my forearm across the 120AC breakers without even thinking about it while reaching down behind the nav station. if it weren't for the thick sweat shirt i was wearing i would no doubt be dead right now because i was plugged into shore power and alone on the boat in the slip.
Feel free to chime in with what you've done that could have killed you but you were lucky enough to walk away learning a big lesson.. After this experience this past weekend, i'd like to hear all of them..
