Hi,

I want to add another instrument to my companionway panel and need to make a new backplate. Does anyone know what material it is made from. I cannot decide if it is nylon, PVC, HDPE or something else.
It seems to be cut from a sheet and is about 8-100mm or 3/8" thick.

Looks like Starboard. I also use polycarbonate/Lexan for that type of installation. It machines & cuts well and can be painted with Krylon Fusion spray paint...
