Autohelm 3000 won't 'Set'. Ideas?

Howdy gang,

It seems my old analogue AH 3000 wont extinguish both the red and green lights in the 'set' mode, signalling its alignment w/ the compass... Any ideas?

Not sure if this could be an issue but is there any magnetic or iron interference located near it?

Have you tried getting in touch with Raymarine?
http://www.raymarine.com/ They are real nice people to talk to. I had called them years ago about my AH 800. Also when the plastic tip on the control rod broke on my AH ST 1000+, they sent me a new one free in the mail. They may be able to help you.
