Someone told me that no hose can deliver pure water free of contaminants. The higher end hoses claim they add less contaminants than the cheper end ones. Been drinking water from hoses way before someone decided to make a distinction between them. What's the scoop?

Check out hose impregnated with colidal silver.I use it for potable water. The silver acts as a bacteria neutalizer. Check scientific supply houses for size and pricing

Benny, IMO...

It ain't broke, so don't try to fix it. I grew up getting skinned knees and catching a drink of water from any hose bib on any house that was accessible. If a hose were attached, we drank from that hose...none of us ever suffered any ill effects from it...we even survived teething on cribs slats and window sills that had lead in the paint without any ill effects from that either. So take what precautions have always made sense to you and don't worry about it.

I love Peggy's common sense. That hose water tasted pretty great too, on those hot summer days playing baseball on the sandlot.

But that would explain why you turn into a raccoon sometimes :D
