The original lazy bag on my 2004 Beneteau 323 is shot. It was made of the light weight material instead of sunbrella and is now beyonod repair. Other than purchasing one from Neil Pryde, does anyone have another source or a place i could send the original to be used as a pattern and have it made from Sunbrella.
Thanks,

The loose leaf manual that came with my 323 had a pattern with dimensions. with that and the old bag it wouls seem that any local canvas shop could duplicate, and make a new bag. I would try that approach. If you don't have that pattern, perhaps Beneteau USAcould provide a pdf copy.

Bill, I see you are on the 323 web site. This was posted a while back in an email. I added the 4th lazy jack at the after of the bag.
Ron,

Thank you for inquiring about a new UK Halsey Lazy Cradle for your Beneteau 323. I have attached a quote sheet as well as a one page promotional sheet on the system. Our Lazy Cradle is made out of Sunbrella UV protective material and includes all associated hardware for your boat. Additionally, we will come to your boat to measure for an exact fit.

Our Lazy cradle is built to the highest specifications. We use 4 jacklines instead of 3 to provide greater coverage along the length of the boom when lowering the sail. We use battens along the top of cradle in internal pockets to keep the top stiff and straight when raised and provide a clean look instead of having open gaps where the jacklines attach. Our front panel is fully zippered for ease of removal. We have an internal pulley system that allows the top zipper to be easily open or closed from the mast - no more having to stand on winch tops to reach the pull. We also have internal sail ties with clips installed to facilitate the ease of storing the sail. And there are exterior clips that allow you to roll the sides up and keep them out of the way when sailing.

I'd like to invite you to drop by our loft here in Eastport - we have a model in the office on which I can show all the above details to you. Just give me a call or drop by any time. Our hours are 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you at this time. We also offer winter cleaning, repair, and storage on site if you are in need of sail care services.

Respectfully,
Andy

Thanks Ron, I will contact them. while i like the lazy bag concept, I'm not overly thrilled with the original design from Neil P. Maybe these guys have figured out a better design.

My slip neighbor, JIMM, has one, and it looks nice, so maybe he'll chime in here? It IS different from what the 323 came with. Pryde is a few blocks from my boat. I'm getting fed up with water getting into the sail and falling out when I raise sail. I will probably make a regular sail cover when this LazyBag dies.
