I am in the process of designing a new electrical panel. My boat is buttoned up and put away for the winter and I cannot access the cabin. Can anyone tell me what the size of the panel is (length and width on a 260).

I would be curious to know what additions electrically that others done; something that would requie a separate switch or fuse. I have seen some GFI 120v outlets...I will post a picture of my new design, which is in the shape of a Hunter 260 with switches, fuses and indicator lights incorporated into the shape of the boat. I haven't decided on the material yet or how I will make it. It will either be laser engraved or machined on a CNC router. Its looking kinda cool. I need to make any upgrades or additions now as I get one shot on the build. Thanks for any input you may have.

I did this on my Catalina 30, Used 1/4 plywood for the back and printed out the name plates on a clear transparency 8/5X11. Gave the back a single coat of poly and then cut out (rounded corners are critical) the individual plates and placed them on it using a toothpick while the poly was still wet. Once dry completed it with 10 coats of poly and some careful sanding to give a smooth surface. Came out looking pretty salty IIDSSMS. You could even have colored graphics if you wanted

If you are designing a new panel, please for the 260 keep the ac and dc panels seperate from each other for safety. When I installed shore power on the boat, I use to buy a simple panel from Blue Seas. You may want to see what they have to offer in ac and dc panels.
If installing shore power, make sure you have the reverse polarity light indicator on it. Some boats do not have enough room to install a larger or secondary panel so you have to make sure about the placement first. I installed the shore panel switch aft on the galley and built a cover to cover the backside of that panel again for safety on the 260.

I am wanting to update the electrical in my H26.5. Can you fill me in on some details of your update project on your boat? Do you have any photos? Can you tell me what panels you purchased from Blue Sea Systems? Thank you very much for any information you are able to provide me.
