So when you coming down to Charlotte Harbor for some great sailing and I am sure for some relief from your winter months,we can plan a Hunter get together.

Nick-
What an awesome idea! We should definately think about that. The only thing is I won't be able to bring Emmanuel so someone is going to have to take me as crew. Do you think you could find me a spot? Winter is only a couple weeks old here and I am already really tired of it.

No Problem

Sure we can make room for you crewing and you can enjoy our much milder weather.
I am planning to put my boat back in the water by Jan after being on the hard for new bottom paint.

Depends on how bad the future ex cleans me out :D but I am hoping to hang on till spring and then we'll see what happens. Besides if I relocate to Annapolis I am gonna need a boat aren't I?

My wife and I just returned from a Carnival cruise from Nassau back to Galveston riding the edge of a tropical storm for two days. The last couple days were so rough about half passengers stayed in their cabins seasick. I commented to my wife that this is the same course we would be taking in our boat, and if it is this bad on Conquest, think what the ride would be like in our little C27 when we return to Key West in a year. Definitely gotta pick a good weather window for that kind of trip.

Kind of dating yourself Ross, I would have to go with "Born to run" or "Thunder Road" by The Boss, although I do love that Judy Collins song. I had some of her albums....Or was it Phil Collins? Some hazy memories of missspent youth, you know..;)

I go farther back than that I was a Julie London and Patsy Cline fan.

I still love Patsy Cline. Her voice was the sweetest, purest sound. On the other hand I love the Boss...
Did Patsy Cline ever sing a happy song? I guess " walking after midnight" came pretty close.
On the other hand "if you've got leaving on your mind" was pretty sad.

I always loved the Carpenters and I grieved when Karen died.

Do you have a copy of Chapman's? I keep one on board all the time, excellent reference material and easy reading. Classes are good; so much good advice here. Thanks for the tunes Ross, good memories :)
