I don't think there is a lake on the salt flats, is there?

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
That is pretty awesome. That kind of speed is amazing. It probably wouldn't do well with big waves though.

Isn't the Salt Flats an old ocean bed dried up???

More the straight line peddle to the floor go as fast as we possibly can

Actually, it's a lake bottom and there is a huge year round lake just adjacent called, of all things, The Great Salt Lake. they named a city in Utah after it... but this thing was shot in Namibia... just north of RSA.

By the way, Scott B, thanks for that..... man, that thing is haulin'....... I'd like to go for a ride... they have two seats, heh. heh. I loved how they stopped it by simply turning upwind. It looked very stable, even through the turn.

What 54 Scott?! I saw 100, 63 miles per hour. Doesn't tack well though.

Try this for something a bit more seaworthy: http://www.hydroptere.com/index.php?page+les-videosa
Go to the mediatheque, then videos & click the 8 minute version. (Can't get it to paste properly.)
They're planning to go Transpac in 2012. Hydroptère was hauled this week in France to get her ready for the US West Coast. In 2008 she hit 100km/hr and capsized, but has been able to average better than 50 knots over a nautical mile since then. Should be interesting
