Ethanol additives

Has anyone tried some of the newer additives for ethanol fuel yet. I see more and more adds for these. The one that for some reason caught my eye was the Valvetek brand, which I saw in the new Boat US magazine. They make some pretty strong claims, and have the test methods listed by which they got them. Several others there also, but I was impressed that someone actually listed the standards.

Where on the web page are the ASTM methods listed? Since the enzyme treatments (short for Startron) can't seem to demonstrate anything in the lab, that claim is interesting.

CRC Phase-4 is the only maker I've seen list the methods, but they won't release the data (I asked).

Though some of the products work (i've run many lab tests) I think the entire industry is shameful, in not releasing data. Ask for the same sorts of information on motor oils or engine coolant, and it is cheerfully given. For example:

Small wonder all products are suspected of being snake oil, and that some are provably harmful. Scary.

I just use Avgas from my local small airport. It last months withs no additives making it cost the same overall as treating pump auto gas with ethanol.

Where listed

The test results ?? are listed on the bottom right side of the add. I will look again, but I think they did list some ASTM procedure.
