Does anyone know of a source for the teak cabin top handrails. It looks like a 1" x 3" x 10'6" milled/shaped to the oval configuration. I can mill or shape it, but finding the teak in that length is the problem. Any ideas?

On my S2 8.0 I replaced all the teak on the outside with PlasTEAK. I ordered all the materials from their web site and used my wood working tools to make them. They turned out great and I know have no upkeep like teak needs.

there is an artical about how s-2 made there teak handrails in the famous 13 page letter.....if you want teak for $10.00 a board foot you can contact Jerry Bell in Flomaton Al.....251-363-0964 and tell him i told you about him...

he will cut any length up to 12 ft long and i think he can supply up 10 quarter thick ..all is rough sawn.....make sure you tell him i told you as it will help with the warm contact thingy i am sure....

I was going to replace mine and then changed my mind. All my teak was/is pretty ratty and I cleaned it up with a solution of seawater/baking soda/bleach/liquid dishwash soap...scrub with med bronze wool. Pretty amazing results.
