Ball Valve Recall

The ball valve on my macerator thru-hull is leaking through the inside. That is, no matter which way I turn the handle, water comes through the hose. Fortunately, the hose is in good shape and the macerator is well above the water the line. But it needs to be repaired anyway.
My mechanic told me he thought Hunter might have had a recall on these valves.
Anybody know anything about this?

Hunter often uses Conbraco/Apollo valves and they are good quality provided they are the marine bronze version. I would call Hunter and also get that fixed ASAP. You also may want to inspect all your underwater metals for corrosion too..

Hunter did have a recall on certain years production- the valves were made with a substandard shaft. Contact eddie Breedon at Hunter with your year and model and he can tell you if your boat was one of the ones affected
