Lake Monroe is where I introduced my wife to sailing on a Prindle 19. That shallow water can get really rough, fast in afternoon thunderstorms. We spent many days shooting from the power plant to the Sanford Marina and then having a few at Wolfies or the Lake Monroe Inn.

There are six boats in this immediate area that are unattended three abandoned three not maintained we are trying to track down owners to see if we can salvage them before they sink.
The lake is a great place to learn to sail so long as you watch your depth
