While sailing back to san diego from catalina yesterday my wife & I were treated to a rare sight of 2 Blue's crossing my path about 150-200yds in front of me. Actually i rounded up to stop and watch. We were so mezmerized i forgot to get my camera to video. They are Huge!

They really are amazing. Timo42, my dad and I were out looking for them today. It looks like from the radio chatter, they've moved from the Redondo Bay to Just south of Pt Fermin.
We still had a good sail with great weather and wind.

We vacationed in San Diego last year and took the "Blue Whale" tour. One of the statistics they mentioned is that the "tongue" of a Blue Whale weighs as much a a mature elephant!
