I am going to install the waste holding tank in my 1982 Catalina 30 and was wondering who made the tanks back then

I went simple with the Sealand combo head / 9.5 gallon holding tank
It is S#$% simple and has had no smell issues after one full season and pumps out nice clean at the station

However, the SeaLand 711-M28 "Marine Traveler" that Tommays installed is a great self-contained system that uses the same bowl assembly as the VacuFlush, and uses pressurized flush water--but UNlike the Vacuflush--really DOES only need about a pint/flush...which allows that 9.5 gallon tank to hold at least as many flushes as a 30 gallon tank connected to any other toilet. If that's not enough capacity you can reroute the pumpout line to a second holding tank (you'd need a macerator pump). The only downside is the20 x20 tank footprint...it's too big to fit in most heads. Defender carries it for a very reasonable price: SeaLand Traveler at Defender
Ronco Plastics Ronco Plastics has made water and waste for at least 20 years, so I'd bet at least $1 that they made yours. Give 'em a call to find out...if they did, they'll still have the mold and even know which one it is.

Hi Peggie due to the placement of the waste tank i am installing is it possible to plumb the outlet through a maserator to the kitchen sink drain or the engine raw water intake , making sure i install a valve to close off any access to sink drain or engine ...of course motor would not be running ...this would be temporary until next haulout or should i run maserator line to stern and install outlet just above water line with shutoff valve at exit at stern

Nooo. CG regs prohibit a toilet or holding tank discharge line sharing a sink drain line, with or without any valves, even temporarily.

Nope...not the right way to do it either. Install a new BELOW waterline thru-hull and seacock, fairly close the to the tank.
