I woould start with RigRite. You may be luchky to find something in a salvage yard.

Thanks for your quick response. I checked the RigRite website but it would help if I knew the manufacturer of the boom. They liist several manufacturers but I dont have a clue. Does anyone out there know?

Send a PM to Jorgefife on this site for the name and number of a salvage yard in TX that he used.

Steve is right, you have a Kenyon boom. But a new one from Rig-Rite is going to cost more than the boat. What was broken? Could you just buy the spar and then replace the internals and ends from your old boom? The idea of a used one from salvage really is your best option. Find one of the posts from Jorge and send him an e-mail or PM(private message).

I don't know where you guys shop for booms, but I just replaced the boom on Midnight Sun for about $600.00. I got it thru Knighton Sailmakers in Sarasota, Florida. They have also made all my sails.

So far no luck. The boom was originally made by Schaefer Spars - there was a decal on the boom. I contacted Schaefer and they havent made booms for many years. The boom is 11.343 ft. long. Its cross section is elliptical measuring 4.5" high x 2.75" wide. This section is similar to the Kenyon "E", the Spartan CD-3 and the RigRite #6. It also has a slot in the top of the boom for a bolt rope.
