Why don't you just tell us when, where, who, how, and what. You seem to want me to ask a question so that you can invent an answer. I still want to know about food for 8 for 60 days.

The trip started as I previously stated in mid august, who was me my wife and friends from our yachtclub. We registered for transit on September 13th and transit on the 15th of that month. For food fuel and water what do you think we were doing at those three marinas?

How do you figure that? Coastal sailing mean within 50 miles of shore meaning you can see it on a clear
day, and after you exit panama you have completed about half of the journey.

My sailing to Wye Island in May 2009.

For six out of 12 days these were the sailing conditions that we had. May is not considered a time of light winds but August is on the Bay.

I was almost certain that you were among the few who had circumnavigated Wye Island in a sail boat. It is rather easy to get lost in the maze of creeks that feed to area. But it is very pretty and quite isolated. We stayed for three nights laying to anchor it was rainy and cold most of that time. or the twelve day trip we had two days of good sailing weather otherwise it was flat calm or blowing stink and raining.

I prefer to sail to places where I have family or friends.

Around eye island is the water normally deep or shallow because it would be nice to add another to the places to sail list.

It averages about twenty feet but you have to watch your depth sounder. The boat clubs often do a rendezvous over on Granary Creek near Wye Island.

Well at the current moment I'm boatless but do you think it would be a good idea to try it with a 8 1/2 ft draft?

It sounds like you need to buy a chart book, mate.

No. 8 1/2 foot draft isn't even a good chesapeake bay boat. There are rivers that you couldn't even get that boat into. If you haven't yet sailed the rivers in your neighborhood I can't fathom why you would want to cross an ocean to sail in some race. You have no less than six very fine rivers within a day sail of Annapolis. I bet that you haven't explored more than one or two and then only with a destination in mind.

I will if going there turns out to be a realistic possibility.but in the next 5 years its not even in the realm of possibility.

Never heard of it, but I do see it on the Activecaptain site. I was just in Annapolis, 2 weeks ago, at the Annapolis City marina. Its a very nice town and that marina was great.
