My dad bought this sailboat last summer and we are both clueless on the make of it, it is 22' long with a shoal keel wrapped in fiberglass. The numbers on the transom are ELM 20020 1076. will post a pic of the transom later on today. On the title it is UNKNOWN because it was abandoned, It was located in Bolles Harbor, Monroe Mi on Lake Erie. Any help will be greatly appreciated, there was a larger version stored at a marina in Bolles Harbor with an inboard and everything but was destroyed earlier this year. Thank you.

That looks like a valid, post 1973 HIN. MIC database says it is a Electro-mariner. Probably 20ft.. Boat #020. Made in October 76.
The only problem is that electro mariner started making power boats in2004. Maybe the letters ELM were assigned to a different company once.

nope no motor well but it did have a cheap bracket for an outboard on it, didnt adjust or anything, was just there.

Try a search for Renken Tangerine sailboats. It sounds unusual, but there are several 18 ft boats that look like your boat. I've seen several pictures of them while searching for a small, trailerable sailboat.
Personally, I like the shape of the hull.

Thanks alot I have been told that by another person but have not found a connection to it with my dads or the larger one even though they have many similarities. Could they have been concept boats or something of that sort you think?

Balboa/Ensenada 20 were widely used in the Sunkist Regatta series. There was one model with a fix keel.
