Does anyone out there know if a Raymarine auto pilot ST-6001 is compatible with the ST-4000?
Because I have the wheel, but need the control head

Raymarine 4000 to 6000 autopilot upgrade?

My understanding is if one replaces the st4000 with the 6000 series then one also has to purchase the S1 course computer because the st4000 is a course computer and not just a display like the 6001/2. i have spent hrs researching this and am coming up with the conclusion to just upgrade tp the x5 OR send my 4000 controller for servicing for a flat fee of ~$200

Just need the control head
Anyone out there want to sell for a price that will not break the bank?
