Hi all Hunter Owners ....

I recently purchased a Hunter 31 (1984).

My Marina (where I store the Boat for the Winter) requires me to build a Cradle (as Poppets are not an option).

I have a local welding shop that builds Cradles regularly but I need the specs for a Hunter 31.

The previous owner always stored in a Marina that used Poppets (Stands).

I need measuremenats to build a basic steel cradle for this Hunter.

Does anyone out there whom owns a Hunter 31 (Built 1983-1987) have these measurements I could have and use to build my own?

Thanking all in advance for any help.

It may be that the H31 had the same cradle as the H28.5??? the H28.5 is 13' long. I forget the widle- maybe around ?54-56"?
If you call Hunter they should know if they had the same dimensioned cradle for the H31 as the H28.5 - in that case I can send you details on my shoal draft- deep keel is largely a matter of extending thelenght of the front mortar pipe to accept the worm screw pads and similar in the rear for the "U"" channel. I will be assembling these dimensions for another H28.5 owner and can forward similar to you if they are what Hunter used on you model.Look me up in the registry.

A lot of cradles are simply an I-beam base with poppits welded into the corners and sides. This provides lots of adjustment and the measurements do not have to be so exact. As you know the boat sits on the keel and the supports are just for keeping it upright. Would that satsify your marina?

Thanks Ed for the feedback.

As the boat is now in the water, I really had hoped to find specific specs.

I do have poppets myself and just really need the dimensions for my Hunter 31.

Thanks again for feedback.
