"Sailing Artists" out there - like to hear from you

Hey Bob - nice drawings - Jack you do have a lot of talent (you might have made an agreement with someone who thought you didn't have any talent) get yourself some paint, brushes, and paper and start painting your boat and break that agreement - I hope some more sailors send some painting images in. I'd like to start a gallery of sailor painters.

Thinwater - Yes your father's work is very good. Tell him from me. I started reading your sailing blog .... You write well and keep a readers interest. I will have to go back and continue soon. Higgs - thanks for the compliment - So do you .. just waiting for you to pick up a brush full of paint and put down what you "feel" not what you see on paper.....
Here's one from my son. He did this when he was nine. Unfortunately, it's difficult to read the specs- he spends a lot of time on that part...

Sailorboy, the nice thing about pencil is this thing called an eraser. But what the heck, I've read that Da Vinci's drawings show lots of erasure marks.
In painting I believe you need to have more of a complete vision of the finished image. Which you obviously do well. Very nice.

I just painted this today of my friend's s/v Camelot ... Camelot is a couple of slips down from Paradox at Heron Lake. I have matched sailing dreams of sailing to the most distant star, down to the center of the earth, and back to Heron lake. I start all my art work with an impulse and see where it takes me....
