I'm in need of a mainsail cover and need to know the correct measurements. Also, should I buy off the shelf or order custom? I'd measure myself but it's a three hour drive and I'd like to have it by the time I get there next time I sail in a week or two.

Thanks for the info. I see that I got a $20.00 coupon in my email that I can use for a pre-made cover for this site, so I guess I'll be looking at that first.
That sounds like a good plan to me. A good sail cover is a wise investment. Whenever I stop to anchor anywhere even if it's for 20 minutes, I always cover my mainsail. My sail is very old but it's still as stiff as the day I had it made. The sun can be brutal on sails. If you take care of them, they'll last a lot longer.
