Hi,
I need advice. I have a 96 Beneteau Oceanis 440 (ex moorings boat) and I need to divide the cockpit locker between my primary and secondary ground tackle.
it's REALLY tight in there!
Anybody have pics/templates/experience with this job?
Thanks!

Can you put one set of tackle in a large milk crate to separate the two?

Nope, I've got about 200 feet of large chain that wouldn't even begin to fit in a container that size, my secondary is 6 feet of chain and another 300 feet of rode.
Thanks though

Okay, so a milk crate's not large enough... maybe a larger box? My point is that if you contain the smaller stuff then the rest of the space can be dedicated to the larger gear. Much easier than glassing in a partition. Another solution is to have separate containers for chain and rode... Heavy mesh bags also work well.

Here's what I got done with my 393. The dealer put in a divider. I've got 200 ft of 3/8 chain and 200 ft 5/8 nylon on the starboard side and 50 ft 3/8 chain and 200 ft 3/4 nylon in the port side. 200 ft of chain doesn't take up much room in the locker.
