I would be interested in what people have used to clean their ACP hulls, such as I have in my Hunter 216. I notice this spring there are many darkish streaks along the sides, which may or may not have been caused by shrink-wrapping. Regular boat wash did not remove them. Comments?

H216 Stain Cleaning

I generally use Bon-Ami for the tough stuff. I understand Comet and Ajax are no longer abrasive so they may be a better bet because of the bleach.

No matter what, use Woody Wax to seal the pores in the ACP after cleaning. This stuff really works and is non-slip. I have one of the original H216's and it was a nightmare keeping it clean until I discovered Woody Wax. My hull and deck still look like new. (I use regular car wax on the hull because I want slip instead of non-slip.)

Thanks, Paul. I'll try both the Bon Ami and Woody.
