Oday 19 hull design cross sections

Does anyone know where I could get cross sections of the hull design of an Oday 19? I have a leak in the keel pocket somewhere but I cannot determine exactly where and I want to know the best way to go about it. Thanks in advance.

I've been told that the Mystic Seaport Museum in CT., has the drawings and specs for the O'Day boats that were turned in by Hunt Associates.
Are you absolutely sure that it's leaking in from the keel slot and not the self bailing cockpit hose in the stern? Where is the centerboard pendant line located in that boat? Does it come into the cockpit or is it down in the cabin? I'm not too familiar with the O'Day 19 but the keel slot resembles the one on my O'Day 222. Mine has a small sheave tucked up into the keel slot for the pendant line which runs through a curved pipe from the cockpit. In fact, the pipe enters a hump in the cabin floor and the sheave is inside this hump. If mine was going to leak, it would probably leak at the sheave's U clamp where it comes through the hump. Mine has a strap with two nuts on it. You can see it in this picture.

The keel pocket is not accessible from the cabin unless I cut the fiberglass that covers it. One time under sail my wife noticed that on a starbord tack more water came in than on a port tack. I have to either cut the cabin floor open or cut the hull open where the keel swings down. Thanks for the reply.

The water could be coming in from somewhere else and seeking it's lowest point which is the keel area. Check the lower gudgeon on the transom and any thru hull fittings on the Starboard side. The only other place to look at is the pendant line pipe that lead into the keel slot.

Thanks for the info. I just sold the boat yesterday, $425 as is condition. I told the buyer of the problem, he got a deal in parts and sails if nothing else.

Selling it is always the quickest way to alleviate a problem. :)

I know that you have now sold the boat, but one question.
Was this an O'DAY 19? or the newer O'DAY 192? I agree with Joe that your pics look just like his 222, and that leads me to believe that your boat was a 192. The 19 had more "keel" ahead of the Cb trunk as far as I know.
I'm interested in learning as much as possible about all models of O'DAYs to add to the info I use to help other owners.

As far as I know it was an O'Day 19. When I described the boat with the hull number to D&R Marine he told me it was made in 1980 and they only made the boat for four years. It was a nice boat to sail.

That picture seals it, the boat is/was definitely an O'DAY 19.
The 19 was built for 1979-83 model years. The 192 was introduced in 1985 and built until around 1988, Rudy built a few more after her bought the molds from O'DAY, those were sold as the "SUNRISE 19", since I don't think Rudy had been able to buy the "O'DAY" name yet (he has that now).
