I need to paint my centerboard while in the slings over the water. I cant wait hours for paint to dry prior to launch. Anyone know of a paint that can go in the water in under an hour ?

So, I guess if you don't see massive biomass build-up it would work fine. Actually, I think most of the bottom paints that I looked at had a pretty short drying time, except for the water based like HydroCoat. That's what I chose. You can find all the spec sheets on Pettit.com or yatchpaint.com (Interlux). Pettis sight ie easier to use. Consider buying from Wholesalemarine.com. Great prices and free shipping on some stuff. Saved me about $100.

I go through this routine every year with my boat and centerboard but I'm fortunate that I arrange to be the last boat and hung in the slings on Friday and I do the painting
about 5 ish and get some drying time in before 9 am the next morning but one year at the last minute I realized I forgot to do the bottom of the keel trunk and put the ablative paint on at 8:30 and by 9:30 the boat was going in......had no barnacles when it was hauled in the fall, I'd try it
