Anyone near Ft. Myers Beach??

We are suppose to close on the Endeavour 37 we are buying next week in Ft. Myers Beach and we might need to order a few things for it and we don't really have a 'ship to' address since we just got off of our Mac and our living in a motel until we get the new boat next week.

I hate to ask, but if someone is in the Ft. Myers Beach area and wouldn't mind us using their address and dealing with that we would appreciate it. We might not need to have anything shipped, but there are a couple things we might need. You could PM me.

Just a note about our last trip. We had a great 7 1/2 weeks on the water with our....

...... MacGregor 26 classic and managed to make a little over 400 miles for the trip total. We put in at the north end of Charlotte Harbor on March 11th, went down the west coast spending quite a bit of time in the 10,000 Islands and then across Florida Bay to Marathon and then worked north and took out Monday, May 2nd, at South Dade Marina by Homestead, FL.

I still don't have the trip posted, but will let anyone who is interested know when I do.

I'm on the other side of the state, sorry can't help with your inbound shipping. Does the marina where the new boat is now handle dock mail? One of those private mailbox places might be the ticket if all else fails.

I think any nearby marina would accept your mail. Just call and ask. Also ask if they sell what you need. They might have it in the marina chandlery.

I am in Naples, about 30 miles south if that would help. In traffic it is about 30 or 40 minutes to Ft Myers Beach. What marina will you be at? Moss marina is a pretty good spot. Across the inlet there are a couple others near the coast guard station. then I think Marina Mikes is there too inside aways.

Thanks everyone and good idea about using the marina. I called them today and they said that would be fine with them so that is what we will do.

My lovely bride would be. I guess this will be the end of trailering for you? Is there anything near Purple Sage to sail her in or are you becoming rolling (of floating stones)?

We are keeping the Mac as we aren't moving to Florida and will probably have it after the new boat is gone. For now the .....

....new boat will stay in Florida over the summer. Hope to stay on her 10-12 days while we move her up off of Charlotte Harbor and take her out. Then will return in the fall and next spring. At that point not sure where we will be with her. We would like to do the west coast north some in the fall and then in the spring maybe the east coast of Florida and possibly on north, but also want to get back to the keys. We really enjoyed them over the past month.

So far Ruth is only going to have to make a new Bimini, Dodger and Sailpack/cover . She will use the old ones as patterns. She also has plans for the cabin and cockpit covers/cushions. She will be able to bring her sewing machine along on this boat and I'll have a lot of tools on board also as she has plans for me.

We want to change the coloring on the boat to ...

....ocean blue, the same as the Mac.

Our first choice is Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage, Inc. We are on a list there. Choice number two is All American Covered Boat Storage right next door to choice number one.

They are both over by Rotunda FL on the west side of Charlotte Harbor at the end of the 8 mile fresh water system. We put in and stored the Mac at All American and it is on the trailer there now.

At Charlotte Harbor you can live aboard the boat some to work on it while it is on stands and they have bathrooms/showers and a place to eat. At All American you have to leave at night. We will need to do some work on the boat when we return in the fall, so staying on it would save money.
