does anyone have any experience with converting the head area to a shower on a oday 272 or any other similar sized boat?
many of the last 272 LE's came with showers.....you need to install a drain where the little wood piece in the corner of the shower florr....and an automatic bilge pump, shower system from the faucets and circle the area with shower curtain to keep everything from getting really wet....does anyone have any experience with converting the head area to a shower on a oday 272 or any other similar sized boat?
Thanks Pat, I was hoping it would be that easy. I didn't know that the LE's had showers, but now that i know I'll try to locate some pictures and if I'm lucky some leads on parts or suppliers. Thanks again. you can also install a shower in the aft locker of the cockpit....and just shower outside while standing on the boarding platform.....

I just ordered a 4 gal. Stern's Sun Shower from Cabela's on sale for $25.00.You may find the prices better with an RV site. Many people I know have replaced plumbing through RV suppliers for the same componets found on marine sites.
That's exactly how I lost my Stern's 5 gallon sun shower last year Dave. As they get empty, they get lighter and can get blown overboard. I usually tie it off to something and this time I didn't. It was an old sun shower that I hadn't used in years because the hose had parted from the bag. I fixed it last year at the beginning of the season with Gorilla Glue and it was working great for me.I may need to do the same. A couple days ago we were sailing in heavy weather and I forgot our Coleman sunshower was on deck. After a hard tack it was behind us. I told Ivy I would rather buy a new one than go back for it.
I just received my Stern's sun shower from UPS just now. They shipped it out in a large box 18"X18" square. The actual box for the shower inside is 20"X6" X 1 1/2". Go figure!I may need to do the same. A couple days ago we were sailing in heavy weather and I forgot our Coleman sunshower was on deck. After a hard tack it was behind us.
