Tag a post

Hi Phil & moderators,
How can I tag a post without leaving a comment. In some occasions an interesting thought is brought out in a thread which is off-the-subject, but I would like to keep it in a file for future reference. I tried to do a search, but sometimes I don't remember what the item was or where I read it, old age maybe. It's kinda like my junk drawer for the someday I'll need it.

See the (permalink) next to the number in the upper right corner of your post? Right click that and it should all become clear.

You can also subscribe to it (under thread tools). That will post it on your profile control panel for future reference.

Great info. I too was wondering how to do that. If you wait long enough, all the world's knowledge will pass through (except the war room).

Thanks Phil and Roger, that sure beats my way. Now I can make little folders in my control panel by edit/naming them, eh?

or add it to your favorites in your browser... I have several folders under favorites on subjects like electrical, engine, etc. with links to the posts
