12volt fan in a Beneteau 423

Have anybody installed 12volt fans in there Beneteau? Are they pre wired? What type did you used? Did you have any problem with them?

In my B323 the dealer just tapped into the light system wiring. Hella fans. Work good, move air.

Just saw

I just saw a article about the best fans to use and they I think practical sailor said the ones with out the cage covering push the best air and they said to use a clamp to put them where ever you need them,they work the best and easy to keep clean mine get dirty and a pain to keep clean and also have them wired into the lights.

I suggest you consider fans with a low draw so you don't drop your batteries so fast.

Cabin Fans

Have anybody installed 12volt fans in there Beneteau? Are they pre wired? What type did you used? Did you have any problem with them?

Last summer we took out all of our 12v. Hella fans on our Bristol 35.5 and replaced them with new Caframo 2-speed, draw less than .5 amp, and have much more velosity. Got them at Defender for about $45/fan. Made a huge difference!
