Zee, I absolutely second what CT said. We want to see you succeed in your venture so those of us that can't follow suit can live vicariously through you. And there'll still be that gumbo waiting for you when you make it down here!!

zee, I am so sorry to hear about this! Please post a list of what you lost. We can help replace pieces of it, too. Or email me: phil at sailboatowners.com.

Don't let this get you down! Get your boat ready and sail on out of that harbor.

Been ransacked and burglarized as well Zee...you have my complete empathy. It can really mess with your sense of safety...do all you can to not let the bad guys win. Cops are still following the perps in my case. Keep in touch with them and be proactive in trying to help the cops catch them. Small things can help..I found the boxes for the components I used to build 2 high end computers. The serial numbers on them helped with parts turned up at a drug raid. Now building the case.
But take the best care of yourself and don't let them steal your passion for sailing too.

Sorry to hear of your robbery. I understand a bit how you feel, our house was broken into a couple times, several years ago. one time while we were asleep - they got a purse, and once when we were away - lost stereo, computer guitar, etc.

You're still here, the boat still floats, it was just stuff. Stuff can be replaced.

Best wishes.

Zeehag, I do hope you are feeling a bit more comfortable and are able to get on with your life and continue to plan a voyage. Don't stop the planning. It will help you overcome more emotional thoughts. Think with your head and not emotions. Looking towards the future helps everyday. Our thoughts are with ya. I have your address and I will be sending you a few dollars to help you with your haul out. Snail mail is my only vehicle to get you money. Again, sorry to hear it still happens. Do I understand correctly when you say you live aboard? My heart goes out to you girl. Don't let the bastards get you down.

Keep it up,
Ctskip

Zee, I just recently purchased a strobe for one of our PDFs and can offer that, and we have a Gimbal Lamp that we replaced, have the old one still and though it is not gorgeous it worked for a long time... you are welcome to that too. Will work through Phil for the rest.. let me know about these two items ok? Keep spirits high, with that much stolen, they will get caught, it just might take time. Chin up!

I know the police are usually not too interested in this type of crime but you should be checking the local Craigslist to see if any of your stuff shows up.

Zee, you can justify a flame thrower as long as you keep it with the
heat-shrink tubing. Order one with empty tanks, and you'll save weight/postage

Zee, This is my first post, but I've been following for over a year and throughly enjoy your posts. I'm very sorry about your ro bbery, I had my truck broken into a couple of weeks ago and they got my cell phone and camera bag with about $5k of lenses and camera. The police caught them, then came the real kick in the gut, it was my 19 year old granddaughter and her boy friend.

We need to get you on your way to warm water, i will do everything I can to help.

If I can get a ship to address for you, I'll send you 2 Standard HX370S VHF Handhelds. I also have a Jensen Stereo but it just has casset, no disc, a pair of box speakers, I'll have to check what I have in marine wire that you could use it is yours.

KEEP THE DREAM GIRL!

Fred

Somebody must have been watching you and your boat for a while. You ferried all of your goodies to the boat and left and they said the store is open let's go shopping. Probably the most disheartening thing that can happen without a physical attack.

Zee (aka Karen) Some how hag just doesn't seem appropriate to a lady as nice as you. LOL
I love your spirit and have always enjoyed your posts. You have responded to my cries for help in the past and I just feel awful that this happened to you. My house was broken into 4 years ago and totally tossed and everything they could carry of any value (including irreplacable things that were special only to me and my wife) was taken. Never found out who or why and police were useless. Somewhere down the road I came to accept that they were in much worse state of life than I was and I started to truly feel sorry for them. If they had to stoop to that level they must be really sick and messed up. Doesn't make it any easier at the time....... I know.
I really dont have that much in the way of equipment to offer you and my knowledge is about as thin as a razor blade so all I can do is give you some encouragement. I know that you will get through this and I cant wait to read about your adventures in warmer waters. Your good nature and laughter is an inspiration to me. Dont loose faith 'cause in stormy waters sometimes that is all we have left. No one can steal that from you................ ever!!!!!

Ps Give Bubba a scratch behind the ears for me. He sounds like my type of cat.
