I have been hearing about Blue Water Bottom paint from some of the guys I sail with but no one I know has any personal experience. Has anyone used it? I have been very happy with Trinidad SR and I am on my 3rd year. My diver says all still looks good but the stuff is $225/gal. I'll spend the $$$ for performance but don't mind saving a buck for similar results. The Blue water is sold at Sears of all places for about $140/gal. http://www.bluewatermarinepaint.com/coproscx67ab.html
I also heard Practical Sailor gave it good marks for my area.

I am in SW Florida waters - brackish canal water.

I would like to know:
1. Has anyone put it over a hard bottom paint like SR. Blue Water says it can be painted over any finish except aluminum.

2. How is it holding up? Compared to what you used before.

Thanks for the info

Like you I have never used it, but everything I read on line it sounds pretty awesome. Thanks for the info. By the by, Sears has it on sale for 79.95 a gallon. If it only stayed for 2 or 3 years it would still be way cheaper to use than the other options. If you try it let us know.

On the site they show a complete range of marine paint products. Looks good, thanks for the heads up.

Either modified epoxy (hardshell) or ablative(sloughing) paints can be applied over your existing hardshell paint. So...... take your pick. If it was me I'd get the Copper Pro SCX Hard (67% copper).... If I could buy it in california, that's what I'd get for my boat. If the price is right I can drive over to Arizona, take in a spring training ball game, pick up the paint and be back home for cornflakes.

Can you provide us a link for that fabulous deal? I searched the Sears website but wasn't successful in finding the product.
