I posted some new pics on my album. Most of the pics are of little things I did. It needed a woman's touch. I did everything inside except the a/c. It took both us to install the tv. It works great. My husband supervised my installing the faucet. There was no way he could get under the sink. I am really happy with the berber carpet squares, it was easy to install, I did the entire floor except for v-berth and 1/4 berth in one day. It's been a few months now and is holding up well. Nice album Mary. How high is the AC unit? Obviously high enough to hang shirts underneath which surprises me. Most AC units I have seen were mounted low-close to or below waterline. Good/bad of this is that the fresh water pump may prime easier but if it leaks you take on water. Did your AC guy have to do anything special for that situation?

Nothing special. pump is low, filter lower, hose goes up not been a problem yet. May have to prime it when we pull the boat.

Will post pics, but I think you are wondering how we get to the bilge with the carpet. The carpet squares that are self adhesive are 12"x12" and fit very nicely on the floor boards requiring just a little bit of trimming.

Mary-Really nice pics and what a great job you did. I especially love the way you did the storage for the canned goods. I am also really interested in the berber carpet squares. I have been considering doing the laminate product from Lonseal but it is very expensive and a lot of work. Your carpet idea may be the way to go-thanks!

I had to order the carpet squares online because Home Depot doesn't carry it in the store. I was really nervous about the color, but it is perfect.
Our cabin floor was horrible when we bought it, and I figured if we replaced the wood floor with new wood, I would put a rug down anyway. I have a few left over carpet squares in case of stains, etc. Main thing about installation be careful and run the squares so nap is in same direction, otherwise color will vary a little bit. I had to take up couple of squares before I discovered that.

what a nice job you did! I also am interested in the carpet squares idea for our 27 that currently is in need of something for the cabin floor......... thanks for the idea, I will research that! And you are right, the squares make the issue of the bilge a non issue! Thanks for shariing!
