hay kids-- by request i decided a wild hare isnt a bad idea--i just cant find one-- living here and readying for departure is a time of making the stuff in the galley disappear--in preparation for reprovisioning with organization instead of my usual oops did isay that out loud..LOl fashion.
i dont have any recipes for peter rabbit--i think he is tooo cute to knock off for a snack.

i dont cook fancy,i dont cook complicated stuff--lots of good healthy food for work support and sailing needs-- our bodies really need certain things we donot conscsiously consider. all that stuff is in my foods.

wtf salad dressing

i use extra virgin olive oil as a standard and staple. into a jar place 1/3c olive oil
pinch italian herbs, crushed and powdered into the jar with oil
vinegar--i often use apple cider vinegar--with occasional splash of balsamic or other kind for flavor to make 1/3 cup total
natures seasonings-shake to taste.
splash water and a pinch of raw sugar or mexican unbleached sugar--is granulated azucar morena...fruit juices can be substituted for sugar
garlic!!!! mince it or dice it small
shake it , taste it in 60 min,and add whatever you think it needs.. varies every time i make it.. sometimes add wine, fruit juice. dried cranberries, dried fruits. wine sometimes needs more sugary stuff/juice to make it right.
should turn out to be a nice vinaigrette
is wtf-- wtf ye want in it goes in it.

The last time I had rabbit was in Oregon in 1962 or '63 when i hit a big jack rabbit in a snow storm on my way to work.i stopped and pick it up and dressed it out. It weighed a bit over five pounds. i hung it out side and it conveniently froze. In the morning I took it home and stewed it like I would with an old hen. It was quite good as I recall. very lean and a bit tough but in those days my teeth were good.
Why do men keep their testicles and lose their teeth as they get old? What happened to intelligent design?

It's getting cold enough to catch rabbits in NH. Get one large onion (rabbits love them). Dice it up and put it in a plastic net bag so you can hang it outside about three feet off the ground (make sure it's near zero). This will draw the rabbits from about a mile away on a still night. They'll smell it and get close enough to make their eyes water. Now here's the easy part. Their eyes will then freeze over and you can walk over and pick them up by the ears. :D:D:D Don't get too cold waiting.
Best rabbit I had was two years ago near Baltimore, can't remember the name of the restaurant but plenty of food.
All U Get

Going to my son's place. He and Susan have family in and fix turkey and ham with all of the traditional sides. Everybody brings something. I make the bread, others fix veggies or desserts and someone brings wine.
