rofl-- due to circumstances control--ie, sail partner-now EX sailpartner, and promises unkept, i get to swim in the rain of sin diego--is a way good thing i did the deck first--LOL--is soo dry in here!!!! that in itself is a novel experience for a formosa..seems all the boats in this bay are flooding with incoming hawaiian water-- we have pineapple express from mountains of kali to beyond hawaii---- gulf coast look out for possible snow in christmas--LOL--right after this wet one we get a from directly north cold storm for another 3 days---- so the nice wet stuff is being followed by not nice wet stuff which will freeze the midsecton of this nation nicely.
as for FORMER sailing partner---- i wish him well an dgood luck-- ye blew it, pal---is all good-- just send the items to the address you already know..LOL
replacements are on their way-- santa and sea gods provide crew for those deserving, andin a very timely manner....thankyou gods!!!!! have 2 potentials--one with and one without experience. one is in seattle and one is in cali somewhere...omg--even had someone inquire as to status of my ericson!!!!! this season could just be a good one for this sea woman....
i know one thing--it will be a pleasure sailing in a drier boat this year than the soaking wet one i sailed the gulf last time!!!! performance cruisers are not the best cruising platforms-- they are usually wet inside with seas and storms-- but this was extreme. even th 3pillows were constantly soaked....gods made tarps for a reason, but is difficult to sail while using one.
march 1 is my official deadline from mooring company for my departure--seems we are not allowed to use 2 mooring s even if we do pay money regularly...so i cruise, leaving my ericson on mooring with a friend to oversee and i sail.
ok, you say--so where is this going----- what is gonna be is my ketch will be a platform for learning. i will accept newbs and teach-- with my NEW sailpartner, on a share the sail basis, how to cruise-- sail, nav, radar, live on board with or without pets, etc. hands on.
prolly also how to enjoy storms..LOL.... i get many , and some arent able to cope. some folks have difficulty coping with offshore passages. we will do this in various locations-- gulf coast, caribean, etc.--pleasant places. this is a male plus female team so we can handle most anything as far as teaching goes, including hands on for women seeking female instructors.
