I'd love to find a nice 80's O'Day 23

Hi everyone, I am new to these forums. There looks to be a wealth of information and very knowlegeable people here.
I currently own a Sandpiper sailboat and am thinking of going a little bigger at my wifes request !!!, anyone ever hear of that?. On surfing around I have discovered the wonderful designs of O'Day and have fallen in love with the 80's O'Day 23.
I have looked at one here that is not for sale and I think it would really suit us.
I have not seen any others advertised in Ontario so I am willing to drive a long way to get one. I am just retired so have the time.

My hopeful requirements are:
Must have a good trailer, double axle preferred.
Preferably in mint condition.
Clean damage free hull and topsides, no painted gelcoat except bottom.
Motor no less than 7.5 hp preferably 4 stroke.
Jib furler.
sink and stove.
Excellent sails.
Pullpit and pushpit with lifelines.

I am willing to pay a good price for the right boat.
Please let me know if I am posting this in the wrong place, I will repost if needed.

Dad: I just did a quick search on Yachworld dot com, and they had six listed for sale. I looked at the first one (somewhere in Maryland), and it seemed to meet most if not all of your criteria. I wouldn't get too stuck finding one from the '80's; remember that Oday went to the Mk II model in 1977 or 78, so all of the boats built since then were basically the same. You should also check out the classifieds on this site, as they are a great resource for all things Oday. This site has three Mk II's listed for sale.

The Oday 23 is a great boat for daysailing and occasional overnighting; I have had mine for 10 years and have been very pleased. Best of luck!
