the oday 25 is plagued with this problem. It all depends on the location and severity of the rot. On mine i cut out the rotten section of main bulkhead to just a few inches above the settee. and scabbed in a new piece of 1/2 inch marine plywood. I filled any imperfection in the joint and fiberglassed it to the existing bulkhead. This is not considered the correct fix . The more acceptable method is to replace the entire bulkhead with marine ply. I am experience fiberglass repair guy so i was confident in my fix. I also removed the chainplates from the bulkheads and filled the elongated holes with epoxy and glassed over the old holes the complete length of the bulkead and redrilled/attached the chainplated using 3m 5200 as bedding compound to protect from further rot from pesky leakage from the thrudeck situation. post pics of damage or more detailed description ad you will get more detailed answers. I sanded and painted my bulkheads off white enamel

Not an impossible job to replace the whole thing

When I got my boat it had this problem so I replaced the bulkheads and moved the chainplates outboard. Why have a hole in the deck?

I had the same issue with my 77 OD25 causing a catastrophic failure while sailing. The chainplate pulled through the bulkhead and shot thru the deck causing the mast to go overboard and snapping the roller furler. Not a fun day...spent the summer replacing the bulkheads....just got her back in the water. My advice is don't sail her until you fix the issue. See my recent threads for info about the repair.
