I have a Hunter 22. It has a o/b which is pulled out of the water when not in use. Should I still have zincs installed? If so does anyone know where. This boat is in Tampa, FL and sits in a slip 24x7x365.

To follow up on what Wonkodsane said, most outboards have a little fin hanging down from maybe the cavitation plate just above the prop. It doubles as an adjustment for motor pulling one way or the other and as a zinc.
So the zincs are just to protect to the motor, or are there other items on the hull that are protected by the zincs? Like bronze thru-hulls, or the mounting brackets that the swing keel is attached to?
They are there to protect any metal on the boat. On my motorboat, for instance, the motor is the only metal thing in the water, so that's what the zinc protects. Sailboats have a lot of things in the water, like thru-hulls, etc., so your zincs will help protect all of them.
Well, I yield to Zeehag on this issue. Infinitely more experience than I have. Zee, if the outboard were kept in the water, would that not protect all the metal in the water?
only that close to the zinc.. some folks drop a line with zinc on it overboard to protect those items underwater line--mostly smaller boats i have seen doing that, but i have seen an older 55 ft boat with zincs overboard on lines near thru hull fittings--looks weird. i guess it works in th e case of living aboard. i trust my prop and shaft zincs -- i have others-- taiwan plate on my rudder..large like a trawler plate only renamed l--that protects the gudgeons and pintles of my rudder...5the thru hulls are spozed to be attached by a bonding system to that---so it is different from the smaller boats that keep stuff simple...i have one of those also....
