When I look at it, I see a very cheap suicide bomber .. If a boat moving at three knots got to the Cole, think about one going 120 and what a fleet of 'em could do to commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf and the Straits of Hormuz .. Toys can be threats in the hands of fanatics.

Solved a lot of the USSR's time problems getting tanks and other heavy things to the western hemi. Seems the slow boats could just not get enough combat power here before our guys would blow their airborne forced entry stuff up.

On a similar note, there is a new "light schema" for vessels operating in ground (sea) effect and exceeding 80 knots. A quick flashing red instead of an all around white. Kinda makes you wonder why they need a light schema if there are no boats that operate this way don't it!!!

That is just sable rattling for local consumption. They are still whining about the trashing they took from Iraq. Looks like they use the stich and glue method.

I would not dismiss them so lightly. There are considered vessel by the IMO and not aircraft. This distinction allows them to be built without having to comply with expensive airworthiness development standards.

They could make very cheap, high speed coastal patrol craft.

Ready ffor the "Bentley" yet? :D
