The bracket which attaches the forestay to the aluminum mast became detached. It looks like the rivets either corroded to broke. Does anyone know what type (stainless or aluminum) and size rivets I should use to make the repair?

Thanks,

Paul

Paul,
Is this for an O'Day Mariner mast? If so, give Rudy a call and give him some info on it and he'll send you some rivets of the proper size.
http://www.drmarine.com/ You may want to replace that tang with a Dwyer tang which has about six holes in it for rivets. I bought one off Rudy a few years ago and installed it on my mast for my CDI roller furler. I drilled the holes and had Rudy rivet it on my mast at his shop with a hydraulic rivet gun. A regular rivet gun would work though. I just didn't have one.
