Hi Guys,

When you see an obvious spam post please use the report post button, it looks like this
. Phil, Brian, Scott & myself are all sailors and on a long weekend are all likely to be on the boat, as I am right now.

I checked in via my phone and saw the India spam. I have banned the user and deleted the posts. It would have been quicker had I seen an email from our automated "report post" button
..

Have a great weekend! BTW blowing 18-28 knots right now with beautiful high pressure system moving in. This is a lot more than the 16 knot hurricane we had last night..;) Can we scuttle all the weather forecasters?:D

Maine, I did hit the 'report' button and expected it to go to Phil thinking he wouldn't see it till Monday or Tuesday considering the holiday. Does the 'report' button go out to all moderators?

I never even noticed the scales and the report button there in the corner.

Sorry, MS. I didn't know what the "Report Post button" was. I was looking for something with text. Fortunately ignorance can be cured with education. Thanks. -Paul

The report button generates an email that goes to all moderators with links to make the process of deletion a bit easier. It's absolutely the best way to report a problem.

I'm online all day every day during the week and usually morning and evening on weekends. Naturally, the one day we get bombed I slacked off and didn't checking until 2:30pm. Never fails.

One more point worth raising... submitting posts about the spam only gives us more posts which have to be deleted. Thanks for your help with this!

That's nice, a report button.... I wish you had a "flame the spammer" button. I know that's not in your M.O...... but just the same...... only thing more satisfying would be knocking out big brother's video traffic ticket equipment we see popping up at so many intersections around here.

Just for every one's info, since I am in Afghanistan, I basically have the night watch on the board. I usually can kill spam posts even before anyone wakes up in the states. No sailing for me! LOL...
