Ahoy,
I was wondering about insurance companies and satisfaction. After selling my old boat and buying another, State Farm " former insurer and policy holder on home and auto insurance" informs me that they no longer insure boats in our area unless they are " ON A TRAILER AND AWAY FROM THE WATER " .. Craziest thing ive hearfd in a while. This news after having paid premiums for 5 yrs on old boat with no claims.
Have gotten quotes from boatus and progressive but the word " DEPRECIATION " is on boatus policy but not progressive. BAsically i understand that if a claim is filed for say $25K on a total lost, that the boat would be depreciated as well as any electronics that may get damaged by lightning or theft.
Would apreciate any input ..
Thanks and fair winds
