I was wondering if anyone has tried the Clip on OFF mosquito repellents?

We're going to do a cruise in the swamps of Fl this fall so I though I'd pony up and try one, AM I ever glad I did. I cannot believe how well it works!!
While working on the bottom I will just lay it on the upwind side and no mosquito's, other times I'll clip it on my belt. It has a battery and a little fan... Best of all it has a switch, so once I bring it in I just turn it off...

I've been using it for more than a month now here at home...

Ken,

Thanks for the heads up. Texas coast has its share of the little bloodsuckers! Will try it out next time I head down there.

When I was in Moab Ut, I'll tell you what didn't work was the repellent that comes in the little bucket with three wicks. It may have kept the mosquitoes away but the flame attracted every f****n little fly on the Colorado River. I also quickly figured out that you can't wear a head light.

citronella candle

A few years ago while sailing on a fall cruise we stopped at Eagle Harbor on Port Saint Joe bay, the mosquito's were so bad we couldn't even eat. We had one of those citronella candles with the three wicks sitting in the cockpit and watched it not only turn black but it was covered with them. Yep I can relate, the candle was a complete failure, it no longer gets to ride... :D

I did buy a black patio umbrella screen the next year that I can toss over the Bimini and on the old boat would cover the pop top being opened as well. Best 19.00 I've ever spent. Got it off e-bay (should anyone consider buying one, black works better than the white screen to see through)
