Dave,A very enthusiastic sailor enjoyed too good a wind Monday and snapped the rudder! Who's ever heard of that? So I'm looking for a boat for parts I can get a replacement rudder. Please steer me in the right direction, no pun intended. I'm in the Rochester NY area and willing to make a day trip to get a new rudder. We'll talk price. I just want to get back on the water. Our season's so short as it is. Thanks

You could try repairing your rudder. I broke mine when it grounded(1980 model). I fixed it by cutting a verticle channel above and below the break and sealing in a stainless steel rod with polyester resin. It worked fine. you might try stivers marina and barretts marine near geneva on the end of seneca lake. they seem to have quite a few old unused sailboats sitting around.
