Stop Immediately!!!!!

A boat name should have as many letters "A" as is possible. The name should be an odd number of letters and should be exactly seven letters long. If not seven then 5 or 9 or 11 are acceptable.

As an example abracadabra....11 letters, 5 A's (a famous Maxi had this name)

Australia is a good one like the famous 12 meter

Based on this rule I considered naming my boat Alala

You might want to try Azkaban

Even Anodize would work but not many A's in it.

All boats should have feminine names and I think this refers to the old Rodney Dangerfield joke, how many times in the morning when you wanted it to turn over it wouldn't. :)

I'd hate to think what could happen if you neglect these rule. Maritime lore is no joke and a whole legal profession exists to enforce these rules. thousands of years of experience have handed these down to us, they are not to be ignored unless at your own peril.

A name to consider

Aaaargh

This seems to be the sound Pirates make at various times, but I don't know what it means. The Blackbeard fans around here seems to use it a lot.

Re: A name to consider

The original S2's were so apparently slow they quipped that S2 meant "slowly sideways"
