My ProMariner ProTech 1230i charger (installed last September) has died (in the middle of my Nantucket/Vineyard cruise, naturally).
My original ProTech 1230 (new with my 05H36) lasted through that time (and over 7,000nm), even though I thought its physical/mechanical appearance was more Fiat than BMW.
So, when I saw the new 1230i, whose physical appearance is much more impressive/rugged looking, I assumed its reliability would at least equal, and perhaps exceed, that of its more primitive predesessor.
Obviously, I made a poor choice.
With what manufacturers of 3-bank 30-to-50 amp chargers have you folks had the best reliability experience?
(I am space limited and only need/want a charger, not charger/inverter.)
Any opinions on the Xantrex TrueCharge 2 40amp charger?
(I love the functionality of my Link 20, but its manufacturing quality is so cheesy that I hope it's not representative of Xantrex as a whole).
