Many on this board, myself included, have remarked about the cleanliness and neatness of Mainesails boat. Some, have wondered if maybe something was faked. Just doesn't seem natural for a boat to be that clean, all over. Hell, his bilge is clean enough to eat off of. But this last post took the cake. The one about lapping the prop shaft. In it he shows not only a spotless shaft and prop, and a shiny clean wrench, which is pretty normal for him. But take a look at the hand holding the compound. Now I ask you, can anyone do anything on a boat, and keep their nails looking like they just had a manicure. I can't even get on board and pull the hatch boards while keeping my nails that clean.
Now to take tongue out of cheek. I just want to say that his articles are always very well done, well thought out, and dead on accurate. Photography ain't bad either. A tip a the hat to you Mainesail.

I do have a rather "white collar" job and do need clean hands for it. I highly recommend Kresto hand cleaner. I used to rep the stuff but now have to pay for it. :cussing: AMAZING product and gentle enough for every day use without severely drying & cracking your hands!!

It looks like posting to this site IS his job. Always a very professional presentation, clearly conveyed so anyone can understand it. It does help that he is into photography.

At the risk of taking a can of gas to Windmistress, I'd like to see the pics of your boat, Main. Is there a link?

Kind of Strange

I find most of these boat people to be rather strange along with just about everybody else that isn't a machinist. :D

Let me know if you want any more opinions.

Maybe someone else is doing all this work and then he just sticks his shiny clean hands in the pictures to take all the credit??

Different standard of work

Some of us have learned over the years that cleanlyness is next to Godlyness. Always something to have on your side as a salior.
Or he could have been in the military and had a great platoon sergeant

As always, Mainesail does a magnificent job at most all he touches. We are truly blessed that he is the way he is. Even more blessed that he shares it with us.
One must keep in mind that his boat is in his back yard and the winters in Maine are of historic proportion, which gives him plenty of time to 'play' with his mistress. I envy him. I think of Mainesail everytime I do something on my boat. I say to myself, how would Mainesail do it? I really do try to emulate my work after his.
Thanks Mainesail and by all means,

Keep it up,
Ctskip
